Privacy Policy
What we collect
Your account details (email, username, display name), the content you create (posts, ratings, reviews, lists, recipes, private notes, uploaded photos) and basic technical data needed to run the service (session cookies, request logs including IP addresses kept briefly for abuse prevention).
What we do with it
We use your data solely to operate BeanOmeter: showing your profile and content, computing community scores, sending the transactional emails you'd expect (welcome, password reset, submission decisions, verification results). We never sell data, never show ads, and never share your information with third parties beyond our email delivery provider (Resend) for the emails above.
Photos
Uploaded images are re-encoded on our servers, which removes all embedded metadata — including GPS location — before anything is stored or displayed.
Cookies
We set exactly one cookie: bm_session, a strictly necessary session cookie that keeps you
signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)
From your profile you can edit any account data, export everything we hold about you as JSON ("Download my data"), and permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your account and content immediately and irreversibly. Private coffee notes are visible only to you, always.
